Project Room

  • Project Room

Our project room enables artists to work on ongoing projects or new bodies of work in a quiet, dedicated studio setting with access to two Etching presses, work tables, brayers, and general studio equipment.

All applicants must have previous experience working in a print studio, including being able to set up the press, work independently and have good general practices in a communal space.

An initial orientation to the space and tools is included, and we can offer a one day refresher tutorial (6 hours) with Master Printer Jenny Robinson upon request.

Studio access is through an application process (via email). There is a two person maximum per day in the space so that you will have room to work on one of the two bookable presses.

  • Studio Residency

5-day Project Room residencies must be taken over a one month period. This includes an initial orientation to the space and tools.

Residents will be provided with table, flat file storage and a cubby for the duration of the residency.

The timing of the residency will be pre-arranged at the time of booking to allow for any ongoing master class workshops, etc.

We encourage residents to bring their own supplies, inks, modifiers, paper etc, while overseas Residents can order materials for delivery to the studio for their arrival.

Rusty or inexperienced printmakers will need to take a full day tuition course in advance to determine their proficiency before starting their residence.
